DropSheet / Tax receipts in a spreadsheet
Tax receipts in a spreadsheet
Schedule C shoebox into Excel for the accountant. DropSheet does not file taxes. Nothing uploaded. $29.99 once. getdropsheet.com
Freelancers and sole props dump a year of paper on April. The accountant wants a spreadsheet, not 200 JPEGs. DropSheet reads the photos and PDFs on this computer and writes Excel: date, vendor, total, tax, category, duplicate flag, plus By category. Meals, groceries, gas, travel, office, medical, other. That is the file you send. Not a tax return.
Try the tax pile
Sample pile: Northline Coffee $14.17, Shell Lakeview $52.18, Office Depot $38.99, Uber $18.40. Total $123.74. Sheet is free. Excel unlocks at $29.99 once.
DropSheet
Drop receipt photos or PDFs. Or paste email text. Privacy. Nothing uploaded. Reading stays on this computer.
How the tax shoebox becomes Excel
01
Drop the year’s receipts
Photos, PDFs, pasted email. Multiple files at once. Nothing uploaded.
02
Fix the rows
Set category. Flag duplicates. Type a total if a photo is muddy.
03
Hand the accountant Excel
Receipts plus By category. DropSheet does not file. You do that — or they do.
Property tax bills, same sheet
A county bill is still a PDF or a photo. Drop it next to gas and Office Depot. Date, vendor, total. Category: other. Landlords and anyone who itemizes can hand that row to the accountant with the rest of the year. Nothing uploaded. $29.99 once.
DropSheet does not compute property tax, file with the county, or run an appeal. Due dates differ by town. This is the bill in the spreadsheet — not the tax office.
Not a tax product
Not QuickBooks. Not payroll. Not e-file. Phone shots: receipt photos to Excel. Emailed PDFs: PDF receipts to Excel. Same $29.99 license. Files stay on your computer. Receipts to CSV. Consumer privacy.
Tax receipts spreadsheet FAQ
- Does DropSheet file my taxes?
- No. It does not file taxes, talk to the IRS, or replace an accountant. It turns receipts into a spreadsheet you can hand over.
- What is the Schedule C shoebox?
- The year’s meals, groceries, gas, travel, office, medical, and other receipts. Photos, PDFs, or pasted email. Multiple files at once.
- What does the accountant get?
- Excel with a Receipts sheet and a By category sheet. Date, vendor, total, tax, duplicate flag. Nothing uploaded to DropSheet.
- Will this work if I never kept the paper?
- No. Shoot the receipt the day you get it. You can type a total later. You cannot reconstruct a receipt you never kept.
- Can I put a property tax bill in the sheet?
- Yes. A county property-tax PDF or photo is a receipt. Drop it with the rest. Use category other. DropSheet does not calculate millage, appeal an assessment, or pay the county.
- How much?
- $29.99 once. No subscription. Sheet is free to try. CSV and Excel unlock with a Gumroad license.
