Your receipts stay on your computer. That is the product, not a setting.
What we do not do
- Upload receipt photos or PDFs.
- Create an account for you.
- Keep a cloud copy of your sheet.
- Sell receipt data. There is none to sell.
- Send the picture to an OCR API.
What stays on this computer
The files you drop. The rows on the sheet. Your Gumroad license, in this browser only. Export writes CSV or Excel to the place you choose. That file is yours.
What is not DropSheet
Buying is on Gumroad. Gumroad sees the card and the license email. Gumroad does not see the shoebox.
The downloadable HTML file has to load reading libraries so it can run as a double-click. Those libraries are not your receipts. On this website, those files are hosted here — not Google, not a receipt API.
Privacy questions
- Does DropSheet upload my receipts?
- No. Photos, PDFs, and pasted email text are read in Chrome or Edge. They are not posted to a server.
- Do you keep a copy of my spreadsheet?
- No. There is no DropSheet account and no receipt database. The rows live in this tab until you export or close it.
- Where is my license stored?
- In this browser, on this computer. Click Unlocked if you want it gone.
- What about Gumroad?
- Buying happens on Gumroad. Gumroad sees the payment. Gumroad does not see your receipts.
- Does the page call Google or an OCR API with my photo?
- No. This site does not load Google Fonts. The English reading files are hosted here. Your receipt is not in that request.
